Hop is Live on Optimism
We’re proud to announce that Hop is now live on Optimistic Ethereum with support for USDC and USDT!
Optimism is the third scaling solution supported by Hop but the first optimistic rollup supported. Optimistic rollups have been highly anticipated for achieving scalability while inheriting Ethereum’s security and maintaining compatibility with Ethereum’s existing applications.

OΞ has been the first to make that promise a reality, with instantaneous transactions and gas fees as much as 90% lower than layer 1. Dapps on OΞ already include Synthetix, Kwenta, Uniswap, 1inch, and Lyra, with many more to come. However, the 7-day exit time that all optimistic rollups are subject to makes moving funds off of Optimism a long and cumbersome process — until now.
Fast Exits with Hop
As the first fast-exit bridge on Optimism, Hop allows users to move tokens directly to Ethereum, Polygon, or xDai in minutes. Long exit times have often been touted as the downfall of optimistic rollups but fast bridges like Hop eliminate this downside (while keeping all the upsides!) for everyday users.
